Graphic Recording Sustainable and Fair Food Festival

When the organizer David Hood told me that there will be three other graphic recorders at the festival, I was even more excited. Nothing is greater than learning from each other and inspiring each others drawings.

Going local in 2020

The topic of the “Sustainable & Fair Food” festival was “Going Local in 2020”.  About 100 people were around discussing how the future of fruit farming and shopping will look like. The organizer David Hood from Doing something good guided through the evening and his team of facilitators made my life as a graphic recorder much easier.

She has put that passion to good use and has been sharing people’s stories in the community radio, TV and print media for the last 10 years. These slides visualise a brown bag session about Agile Management Innovation (AMI) of @berndschiffer at MYOB hosted in the Melbourne office.

I love doing visual recordings in A4! It is just so little effort to prepare it and you can chuck out one slide if you made a mistake. If you want to get a grip on the visual recording – I suggest creating a series of A4 slides like this one.

I was looking forward to the LAST conference for quite a while. Last week the LAST conference took finally place at the Swimburn university in Melbourne.

After I gave my talk about visual thinking (PDF), I invested the rest of the day drawing one visual summary of the LAST conference. I would like to thank all conference visitors for their help and their visual notes without that big sheet of paper would be still white and boring!

Furthermore, I would like to thank Ed Wong and Craig Brown for their great organization of the LAST conference.

I started early setting up my easel and getting paper and markers ready. I pencilled a layout in that I had in my mind and got started on the headline (in the middle).

In the afternoon I drew in all the insides that I got on post-its and brought them onto paper.
